Look & Feel
» The Mahindra Scorpio has given premium look and feel both inside and outside. The front suspension is independent suspension, double wishbone suspension and the rear one is not an independent suspension.The turning radius has been 5.7 meters initially and it has come down to 5.4 meters in its third generation. When you go through the bumps or the potholes the car observes them all and provides a smooth drive. The SUV gets bolder and modern phase cuts in the headlamps that give a good look to it. It has also redefined its signature grill and it gives it a captivating look. It has improved the quality of the interior and the materials used and the fit and the finish. The steering is now smaller than before and feels good and hold and its response has been increased to a great extent and it feels even more sharper and balanced now.
Engine
» The Mahindra Scorpio now comes in two variants that is the 2.5 meter dieselengine of 2523cc displacement capacity delivering 120bhp and 2.2 liter diesel engine with 4 cylinders that deliver 120bhp at 4000 rpm. It gives a mileage of 15.4 kilometers per liter. It provides a maximum torque of 280 nm at 1800 rpm in 2.2 liters mHawk diesel engine and have a turbocharger, which is lot more optimized. The 2.5 liters diesel engine are more intended for rural purposes and offers 200 nm of torque and doesn’t have a turbocharger. Both the diesel engines are mated with five speed manual gearbox.The gear shift quality is much improved and even the clutch effort is less.
Space
» The Mahindra Scorpio has equipped with boot space of 460 liters that provides enough room to carry the suitcases and bags. It provides enough space inside it that the passengers can comfortably travel long distances in it. The entire dash is now pushed towards the bonnet and space has been providing at front offering more room for legs. It can carry 7 passengers easily and is also luxurious for travelling.
Safety
» Mahindra Scorpio comes with disc brakes in the front side and drum brakes at the rear end and the car does stop in time when you apply the brakes. It comes with a very good handling. It has given a new steering with easy to use buttons and the power window buttons that are in the center are now moved to the door and that is convenient to a great extent.
Features
» The Mahindra Scorpio comes with touch screen panel that provides the Bluetooth functionality, GPS navigation system to show the routes. It comes with stereo system and has front speakers and also have speakers at the back. It now comes with good tires and the plastic quality in the interior has been improved better. The instrument panel now looks a pretty cool than the previous once. It has got digital climate control, cruise control, rear ac vents, automatic headlamps, sensing wipers and the power ORVMs.
